In association with Gerber Fine Arts and Compass Gallery, the House for an Art Lover brings you a new exhibition each month featuring a selection of contemporary Scottish artwork. The exhibitions can be viewed in the highly acclaimed Art Lover’s Café which is open every day from 10.00am - 5.00pm.

The House itself represents one of the most exciting pieces of recent research on Charles Rennie Mackintosh. A team of contemporary artists and craftspeople have transformed the Mackintosh portfolio of drawings from 1901 into a magnificent display of rooms intricately portraying his use of
colours and textures combined with style and design. As a result, the House for an Art Lover today is admired by enthusiasts throughout the world for its unique amalgamation of historic and contemporary craft and design work.

Visitors can view the Mackintosh Suite of rooms throughout the year. As opening times vary, please telephone in advance
